Experience:

Gavin has been with Bartfields for 23 years and, in that time, has gained a detailed knowledge and understanding of the many issues which affect clients and their businesses. He specialises in advising business owners on the most effective structures and strategies available to maximise their profitability and the value of their businesses. He is responsible for the continued growth of the Bartfields Tax Department which, as well as dealing with all the usual day to day compliance matters, has a strong focus on offering clients innovative and practical Tax related solutions.

Outside work:

Gavin is a keen golfer and a follower of Rugby Union, his favoured teams being Leeds Tykes and Scotland. He has three young children who make sure dull moments are few and far between.

Experience:

Raymond has over 30 years experience of helping owner managed businesses become the most successful and enjoyable in the UK. He has been providing forensic accounting services to solicitors for nearly 20 years.

Outside work:

Raymond enjoys dining and spends his free time with his wife Adele and his two boys. He also enjoys walking, weather permitting.

Experience:

Paul has over 30 years experience and specialises in various areas including Tax Planning, Tax Enquiries, Share Valuations, Trusts & Estates, Charities and Solicitors. He is also part of the Forensic Accounting Team.

Outside work:

Paul enjoys gardening,  walking and exploring the Yorkshire Dales as well as reading and listening to music.

Experience:

Mark has been with Bartfields for 8 years and has over 20 years experience. He deals predominantly with owner managed Limited Companies of varying sizes and specialises in advising solicitors.

Outside work:

Mark spends most of his time with his family and enjoys travelling. When he is not socialising with family or friends he likes to watch football. He is a proud season ticket holder at Barnsley FC

Experience:

David has a wealth of experience dealing with a diverse range of general practice clients, and has particular expertise in helping clients grow their businesses to increase both their profits and value. This is achieved through a Performance Measurement and Improvement system known as “The Numbers” and David is having great results with clients.

David also runs our business clubs where we bring clients together to share both their knowledge and their business experiences.

Outside work:

David is a keen football fan whose passion for Leeds United is shared with his son Adam. He also plays tennis regularly and likes to keep fit.

Experience:

Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 with one of the “big four” firms, Martin has worked at all levels of the profession in the UK; the international, the national and the local. He has extensive experience in personal and corporate taxation, business development consultancy, auditing and accounting. In that time he estimates he has worked with and advised over 1,500 businesses, focusing firmly on maximising the rewards, both long and short term, for their key players. Since joining us in early 2008 Martin has played a leading role in introducing specialist tax efficient solutions to all clients and further enhance the rewards of their relationship with Bartfields.

Outside work:

Martin is a committed family man and audiophile who is rediscovering a social life with his wife, thanks to the increasing independence of his two children.

Experience:

Martin is experienced in a wide range of taxation issues through 25 years of general practice. He specialises in the freight forwarding industry, building and construction, and Inland Revenue related matters.

Outside work:

Martin enjoys playing golf, supporting Leeds Rhinos in the Rugby League, and is also a Leeds United fan.
