Gavin Bell BA ACA

Experience:

Gavin has been with Bartfields for over a decade. He specialises in construction and allied industries, and the professional sector. He also is responsible for the continued growth of the tax department within Bartfields.

Outside work:

Gavin is a keen golfer and a follower of Rugby Union, his favoured teams being Leeds Tykes and Scotland. He has three young children who make sure dull moments are few and far between.

Raymond Davidson BA FCA MAE

Experience:

Raymond has over 30 years experience of helping owner managed businesses become the most successful and enjoyable in the UK. He has been providing forensic accounting services to solicitors for nearly 20 years.

Outside work:

Raymond enjoys dining and spends his free time with his wife Adele and his two boys. He also enjoys walking, weather permitting.

Paul Goddard ACA

Experience:

Paul has over 25 years of experience and specialises in several areas including personal tax, tax planning, audits, and forensic accounting.

Outside work:

Paul spends a lot of his time at home with his family, and he also enjoys gardening.

Mark Lowell ACCA

Experience:

Mark is an experienced senior member of the team whose previous clients have included sole traders and also owner managed limited companies. His specialises in advising solicitors.

Outside work:

Mark spends most of his time with his family, in particular with his young son. When he's not socialising with family or friends he likes to watch the occasional football match. He is a proud Barnsley supporter.

David Miller BSc FCA

Experience:

David has a wealth of experience dealing with general practice clients, and has particular expertise in dealing with clients in the printing, lighting, and financial services industries. He also co-ordinates the firm's I.T. & Added Value Consultancy services.

Outside work:

David is a keen football fan whose passion for Leeds United is shared with his son Adam. He also plays tennis and likes to keep fit.

Martin Cawley

Experience:

Martin has over 25 years experience dealing with businesses of all sizes and specialises in enabling those involved in business to maximise the rewards they receive.

Outside work:

Martin is a committed family man and audiophile who is rediscovering a social life with this wife thanks to the increasing independence of his two children.

Allyson Donald

Experience:

Allyson has over 20 years experience in taxation and specialises in the annual Self Assessment Tax Returns for owner managed businesses. Allyson deals with sole traders, partnerships and is experienced in dealing with Income and Capital Gain Tax aspects of individuals.

Outside work:

Allyson is a keen, if not proficient golfer. She also enjoys travelling and socialising with friends.

Martin Gibson ACA

Experience:

Martin is experienced in a wide range of taxation issues through 25 years of general practice. He specialises in the freight forwarding industry, building and construction, and Inland Revenue related matters.

Outside work:

Martin enjoys playing golf, supporting Leeds Rhinos in the Rugby League, and is also a Leeds United fan.

Clare Gill

Experience:

Clare has worked in personal taxation for over 30 years, both with HMRC and in practice. Clare has dealt with everything from multi millionaires to small sub-contractors.

Outside work:

Clare enjoys socialising with both family and friends. Clare also likes reading and once she opens a book she finds it difficult to close until she has finished it. Clare also enjoys watching Rugby League having advised several well known players.

Stanley Harrison

Experience:

Stanley is Bartfields' longest serving employee, specialising in payroll administration and processing using Star Payroll Professional.

Outside work:

Stanley enjoys relaxing at home in front of the TV.

Beverley Ibbotson

Experience:

Beverley qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995 and has over 14 years experience in Forensic Accounting, including writing expert witness reports in a wide variety of personal injury, loss of dependency, matrimonial and business interruption cases.

Outside work:

Beverley enjoys spending her spare time with her twin boys, in particular supporting the local rugby football teams.

Veronica Mosby

Experience:

Veronica is an experienced receptionist with excellent social skills,important qualities when dealing with clients and being the first point of contact.

Outside work:

Veronica enjoys getting together with family and friends,any spare time she has is spent enjoying walking.

Janice Murray

Experience:

Janice is a key player in the areas of administration and payroll. She is knowledgeable in many areas of computing. Her expertise is in Microsoft Windows & Office, Sage Payroll & Accounts, and troubleshooting.

Outside work:

Janice is a Leeds United fan, she enjoys travelling and outdoor pursuits, especially if they lead to a public house.

Mark Tate

Experience:

Mark has all round experience working closely with a wide variety of owner managed businesses in a variety of business sectors.He specialises in limited company financial reporting and auditing.

Outside work:

Mark enjoys socialising and going to the gym out of guilt.He is a keen supporter of the Leeds Rhinos Super League team and enjoys playing golf.

Nigel Thomas

Nigel works closely with a wide range of clients,providing a complete range of services to owner managed businesses.This includes audit, accountancy,helping to reduce the tax burden and improving profitability.

Outside work:

Nigel likes to play golf and is a keen rugby union fan and spends most of his time with his family.

John Wallace

Experience:

John has nineteen years experience working in general practice, primarily dealing with owner managed businesses and charities. John specialises in the fields of audit and accounts advice, and also has a wide experience of business tax issues.

Outside work:

John is a keen runner, recently travelling to Cape Town to complete the 35 mile Two Oceans marathon and a passionate supported of Leeds (Carnegie) Tykes RUFC and the Campaign for Real Ale.
